- The Aico EI146E optical alarm is the upgraded version of the EI146RC that delivers the same great functionality in a slimmer, more modern aesthetic casing that allows seamless blending within today’s modern interiors.
This mains powered optical alarm is best at detecting slow, smouldering fires which are commonly caused by sofas or electrical fires. The alarm gives a fire warning when adequate Smoke enters the alarm.
It provides automatic dust compensation, sealed insect mesh and a proven optical smoke chamber to provide advanced detection of fires whilst reducing unwanted tripping. The smoke chamber automatically self tests every 40 seconds, giving advance warning to unit degradation.
The alarm contains a replaceable 9V Alkaline battery back-up capable of lasting up to 4 years in standby mode and capable of powering the alarm for up to 2 years without mains power.
The Ei146e optical alarm can be interconnected with other alarms and accessories through hard wire connection or, for less mess and disruption, by RadioLINK wireless interconnection. It is compatible with the Ei168RC RadioLINK Base for wireless interconnection.
The alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base that allows very quick and simple installation of the smoke alarm, combined with simple alarm head removal and replacement. The Easi-fit base automatically connects both mains power and battery as the alarm slides on.

Aico EI146E Applications

Further cost savings are possible through the use of Aico’s innovative and totally unique Easi-fit technology, as there is no need to purchase additional wiring enclosures, mounting kits, leads or connectors.
